Wilfred is a live-action comedy about Ryan, a young man struggling unsuccessfully to make his way in the world until he forms a unique friendship with Wilfred, his neighbour’s canine pet. Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest, Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit. While leading him through a series of comedic and existential adventures, Wilfred the dog shows Ryan the man how to overcome his fears and joyfully embrace the unpredictability and insanity of the world around him.

After watching the original Australian version of Wilfred I had to watch the US remake. The picture above is of the Oz series but the man in the dog suit is the same. The style of comedy is very much the same in both, very original, and clever. The story line didn't fit as well to me in the US version but that is probably because it is trying to the US market. Elijah Wood plays his character very well. There are not many recognisable stars in it, but with the success of this, there was plenty of cameos in Series II It might take an episode to grasp it but once you do (if you do), you will love it. Wilfred had me in hysterics, enjoy !
