Eric Bana will attend this year's Audi Dublin International Film Festival in support of the Irish premiere of Jim Sheridan's The Secret Scripture.

Bana will join co-stars Vanessa Redgrave, Jack Reynor, Susan Lynch and director Jim Sheridan for the premiere of the film on February 24th at Savoy Cinema. Speaking at the announcement, Festival Director Grainne Humphreys said that the event "was already a landmark event for Irish film in 2017, but to have Eric Bana jetting in for the Gala brings another dimension of glamour and significance. I’m delighted to welcome him back to Ireland for the festival."

Bana is best known to audiences for his performances in the likes of Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down, JJ Abrams' Star Trek reboot and Joe Wright's action-thriller Hanna alongside Saorise Ronan. Bana plays Dr. William Grene in The Secret Scripture and is also lined up for Guy Ritchie's King Arthur: Legend Of The Sword.
