This Christmas Festival Productions brings you the world's favourite musical - THE SOUND OF MUSIC - at the National Concert Hall from December 27th - January 3rd 2013.
Winner of 8 Tony Awards and playing to packed houses all over the world for over 50 years; it is a much loved classic and a treat for every generation!
This lavish production is directed by Tony Finnegan and created by the Festival Productions' company which brought Oliver!, Annie and The Wizard of Oz to the National Concert Hall.
Ceara Grehan stars as Maria, the naive novice who leaves the convent to work for Captain Von Trapp and his 7 children and changes their lives forever! Audience favourites Jimmy Dixon and Mel Ryan return to the stage as Max Detweiler and The Baroness. Enjoy the glorious music of Rodgers & Hammerstein including all-time favourites... Do-A-Deer, Climb Every Mountain, Edelweiss, Lonely Goatherd and My Favourite Things!
The much acclaimed Festival chorus, dancers and orchestra will make this another wonderful Christmas show for all the family.
