Indiependence Music and Arts Festival returns to Deer Farm, Mitchelstown, Co Cork from August 3rd-5th.
Keeping to their promise, INDIEPENDENCE Music and Arts festival have continued adding great acts to their line up. One of the hottest prospects on the Irish scene at the moment are The Original Rudeboys and those at INDIE12 are delighted to have them on this year's bill, while also continuing to support local talent with Cork based acts to include Hush War Cry, Dead School, Slow Motion Heroes, Emerson and The Empire Lights.
For those who like to dance, Cork-based DJ Neil Corcoran and Waterford-based spinner Dave Halligan have been added to the Bacardi Oakheart bill, while Daft Funk, Drum & Disco mash up PK and Jay, and Dublin Dancehall collective Scribble Sound System will also be appearing over the weekend.
All this on top of a bill that already includes 2manydjs, British Sea Power, Feeder, Maverick Sabre, Beardyman, LTJ Bukem, Japanese Popstars, Jape, The Frank & Walters, Scroobius Pip and so many more...
Scroobius Pip:
Distinctively attired in trucker cap, charity shop suit and THAT beard, Scroobius Pip is a leading light and unmistakable face of the UK's spoken word scene.
Having jacked in the role of bass player in a Punk band, for a marginally more stable career in poetry, Scroobius Pip has been proffering his everyman polemics for nearly a decade. Performing on street corners or spoken word stages, for queueing gig goers or reverential Jazz audiences, Pip became synonymous with a burgeoning post-millennial spoken word scene.
