With such gloomy days upon us - (the dreaded "R" word) - what better way to lift yourself than to go see some top class comedy. We have teamed up with MCD to offer one VERY lucky viewer the chance to win the ULTIMATE COMEDY GOLDEN TICKET: a pair of tickets to ALL of the best comedians playing Ireland in 2012 - Frankie Boyle, Jerry Seinfeld, Bill Bailey, Michael McIntyre, Ross Noble, Kevin Bridges, Rich Hall & David Strassman!
Frankie Boyle: Olympia Theatre 3rd & 4th December
Frankie Boyle has been pilloried, misrepresented and demonised. And for what? For Telling It Like It Is. Now he will attempt a final tour, to heal Ireland and Britain's fools. To support its rioters. To offer the inchoate laughter of despair to a culture in freefall. These are The Last Days of Sodom.
Jerry Seinfeld: The O2 13th May
Hailed as "the master stand-up comic of his generation" and "the best comedian of our time" Jerry Seinfeld will make his Irish stand-up debut for one night only.
Michael McIntyre: The O2 16th-19th November
The star of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and Britain's Got Talent returns to the road for his third and biggest Irish and UK arena tour to date. Michael McIntyre's Live & Laughing and Hello Wembley have sold over 2,500,000 DVDs. A third stand-up DVD of the tour will be available in mid November 2012.
Bill Bailey: Olympia Theatre 1st & 2nd June
This will be the last chance for Irish fans to catch Bill Bailey's acclaimed live show Dandelion Mind.
Ross Noble: Olympia Theatre 28th September
Award winning Geordie stand up Ross Noble is now perhaps the most successful cult comedian of our time, with a loyal fanbase derived largely from the 'word-of-mouth' recommendations of those having seen him perform live.
Rich Hall/Otis Lee Crenshaw: Olympia Theatre 17th May
Rich Hall, the grouchy, deadpan, comic genius quit his job as a hurricane namer for the United States Meteorological Service two decades ago and hasn't looked back.
Kevin Bridges: The O2 2nd October
Kevin Bridges returns to road in the Autumn of 2012 with a brand new show called 'The Story Continues...' which will include an O2 Dublin date on 2nd October. The tour also takes in England, Scotland and Wales and will play his home city of Glasgow at the SECC Arena for three nights where a second follow up DVD to the best selling 'Kevin Bridges The Story So Far' will be recorded.
David Strassman: Olympia Theatre 11th-15th September
International comedy star David Strassman is Dublin bound for 5 nights at The Olympia Theatre with his hilarious new show, CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR! Chuck Wood's sharp-tongued, caustic, and sarcastic humour, has been cracking up audiences for years. And this show is an all-new creation from the dark and twisted mind of puppet master David Strassman.
