John Bishop signs up for new Sky1 show

John Bishop has signed up with Sky to do a major new show this summer. ‘John Bishops Only Joking’, a ten part series, will see Bishop alongside well known comedians and celebrities share their favourite jokes. Members of the public will also get the chance to get involved too with cameras travelling around the country filming people telling their funniest jokes.

Bishop who will also be an executive producer on the Sky 1 series said ‘This is a great opportunity to make a show that allows everyone to join in the joke. I'm really looking forward to working with everyone involved.’ The show will be made by his own production company Lola Entertainment,

‘John Bishops Only Joking’ is the latest series to be commissioned by sky as part of their initiative to increase British content over the next three years. Phil Edgar, Head of entertainment at Sky said ‘If there's one person who's guaranteed to put a smile on our faces, it’s John Bishop. We're thrilled to be working with him on this exciting new show which will, almost literally, deliver a laugh a minute.
Filming is to begin on the new show during the summer and broadcast on Sky 1 later this year.
