Interview | 10 Days in Dublin | Humourisms.com: Be Afraid

10 Questions for 10 Days In Dublin show: Humourisms.com: Be Afraid
1. What's the show about?
It's one hour of standup and sketch about the end of the world by a bunch of guys who post stuff they think is funny on a website.
2. Why is the end of the world important?
IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD. REM have written songs about it, Keira Knightley can currently be found staring blankly back at us on the posters for a film about it, the Mayans predicted that whole Y2K thing ten years ago that crashed Ulster Bank last week.
3. Keira Knightley is a pirate.
Uh...yeah.
4. Pirates are the new vampires.
So why haven't we seen a film about vampire pirates? Why don't we make one?
5. Because the world is ending.
Ah. Yes. These are more statements than questions now.
6. Sorry.
It's alright. Question four was me asking you a question, which has turned this whole interview quite meta, which is popular with "the kids".
7. Who's performing?
The best of new comedians performing in Ireland whose work has appeared on RTE, Newstalk, the Edinburgh Fringe, Carlsberg Comedy Carnival and FM 104.
8. Oh yeah? Like who?
Kevin Lockard will be giving us updates on the Wide World of the Internet and sketch group The Glen Coco Experience will be providing comedy of whimsey and horror. Conor O'Toole will present something probably death related and Giles Brody will give a round-up of the news around the world. The show is hosted by Damon Blake and George Fox who will show you the emergency exits and maybe how to properly kiss.
9. Where's it on?
Saturday 14th of July at The Workman's Club in Dublin, doors are at 7.30pm, tickets are €5.
10. The world isn't really going to end, is it? Promise?
I do not want to scare you but yes. A man ate another man's face last month. It was on the news and everything. Now's a good time to invest in shotguns.
