Facejacker movie? Yes please!

Words: Caroline Foran

This should please you: prankster Kayvan Novak will apparently turn his hit Channel 4 show Facejacker into a movie. Yeay!

Speaking with Vernon Kay eariler this month, Novak said: "Let me tell you now, world exclusive on Radio One, One, One. We're going to do a Facejacker movie... How we're going to do it we're not sure. But we're thinking where in the world is left to jack? And we're thinking Australia, we’re thinking Europe and we’re thinking Northern Ireland."

Then at a recent TV event, Square Eyes, Novak revealed that Sacha Baron Cohen was a big 'inspiration' to go from the small to the big screen.

Novak said: "The biggest mistake you can make with a prank show is remove the "real" 'element, which is the funniest thing." While he says it's "very early days" and ideas are still being thrashed out, he assures us that the movie "will definitely be hidden camera."

Like our own PJ Gallagher, Novak's most recent TV series took him off to the U S of A where he can still go unnoticed. "I can't really walk down the street as Brian Badonde without someone going, 'Bwark'", he said to Kay. Similarly, noone in the UK and probably Ireland would mistake his Terry Tibb for a real person.
