Rendition
Watchable but not great - markd
I couldn't help but feel a little cheated out of my money when I saw this film. The process of rendition is definitly something which could make for a good film, but more importantly, the more pubilicy aware people become of rendition and practises the better. For this reason the mere fact the film was made can only be a good thing and a step in the right direction for a more morally aware hollywood. However, I felt the film itself lacked, for want of a better word, - 'ommphh'. It seemed a bit disjointed and the few stories fragemented. I didn't feel they cohesively came together well toward the end and also felt that the twist neither added emmensely to the story or had a need to exist at all. Streep's character seemed a little strained and Gillinhall went through the neccessary motions to fulfill his role. Overall - Average stuff. I would reccommend as a dvd or if nothing else on in the cinema and you still wanted to go.
