Battleship

There was one good idea in this movie, and if they had made it the central element and done a hunt for red october / das boat type triller, we might have gotten a decent movie. Instead we get aliens with vastly superior numbers and forces get their asses kicked by a numerically smaller and technologically inferior bunch of usa/japanese navel types. "oh for fuck sake" as someone said aloud in the theater. As for the acting, I've seen less wood in a builders yard. Liam Neeson has a few good lines. Brooklyn Decker isn't terriable. It felt like Rhianna had probably had more lines orignally but was so bad they cut them out except for a few short catchprases. That guy that was in john carter must be a shoo-in for this years Razzie for worst actor. But if your main actors are a Model, a singer and the new tom cruise you're not expecting great acting, what really suprised me was how universally bad all the supporting actors were. All in all I wish the aliens had won.
