Dark Knight Gets It Right ... Again - Keith
Many on-screen versions of the classic Marvel comic have tried to give audiences a vision of the millionaire vigilante that is Bruce Wayne. Yet, each vision fails to capture the essence that lies in the pages of the comic-book. Cut three years from Christopher Nolans ground-breaking portrayal in Batman Begins, and the inevitable sequal 'The Dark Knight' hits our screens, stunning audiences once again. Suiting the infamous suit well, Christopher Bale portrays the omnious figure as a character to be feared. One might beleive at a glance that Batman is a villian, in comparison to it's predecessors, who portray him as a 'super-human' hero. Bale recognises the man behind the mask. The Dark Knight certainly lives up to its title, being the darkest Batman movie yet, thanks to the vigilante's most foreboding foe yet; The Joker, played by Heath Ledger. The mature script delivers more depth than 'Good Guy -vs- Bad Guy' with an absolutely outstanding ending. If 'Batman' was not used in this film, it could be passed off as a great action thriller, unlike other super-hero movies. So, this stunning movie doesn't deserve your cinema ticket money, nor your money to rent it at your local Xtra-Vision, instead, it deserves your money to go out and buy it. It truly is a great piece of work that will do more than entertain you. Bring on number 3 !
