As a self-confessed Narnia fanatic since a young age, I was wary of the newest attempt to bring it to cinema. The previous production of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” saw the cast and crew only barely rise to their task, but it's clear that this time around they're learned from their mistakes. The adaptations of the beloved C.S Lewis novels continue with the next instalment, Prince Caspian. This newest offering sees the return of the four Pevensie children to Narnia, after spending a year in England as normal children. However, many more years have passed in the magical realm, and they return to find it in a state of devastation, thanks to a cruel group of soldiers called the Telmarines. Their newest mission is a darker and more adult one than their previous encounter with the magical land, as they must fight to restore the rightful heir to the throne, Prince Caspian, and bring peace again. While the first attempt at bringing these well-loved children's tales to life on the big screen was lacking in many things, Prince Caspian makes up for many of them. The young original cast have matured as actors, and it's clear that the technicians and producers have as well. This is an altogether more satisfying effort at a Narnia movie, and it's bound to satisfy fans. While you should at least see the first film before moving on to Prince Caspian, enjoyment of this film won't be restricted to fans of the novels. In the same way the Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series have done, Narnia slips easily into the perfect niche of “fantasy film for all the family
