As attention holding entertainment 'Cloverfield' scores pretty high: Quick into the action, suspense, fear, and some kick ass special effects make it an above average movie experience. I enjoyed it because I respected a unique approach by the director which, in my mind, paid off. My wife hated it though...why? because she didn't see the point of the story, and she hated the ending - which for many will be the turn off.
