A no nonsense look at life! - amz
This film is about a young girl growing up! It follows a segment of her life in her 16th year, where she is experimenting with life. She gets pregnant and basically the film follows her through the options that are at hand and the decisions she has to make, i.e. abortion, adoption, telling the parents, dealing with the comments/views of her peers. All in all the film tells a refreshing no-nonsense tale of Junos life, which is actually driven by her own choices and strong will. It is well told, possibly stretched a little at the end to give the happy ending, but told with enough truth, that the consequences of her choices are also up for consideration by the viewer. The actors are to be credited: Juno is extremely well played, as are the prospective adoptive parents; you can feel the awkard moments, the lack of awareness of the husband, the true emotions of the the mom. Verdict: go see, a very good fresh, quirky film
