No Country For Old Men
A future classic. Terminator meets Unforgiven. - gopmeila
This was pure class from those genius Coen brothers. I went in with high expectations, and was not disappointed. Think Javier Bardem gave his best performance to date. A kinda Hopkins-esq quiet, enigmatic yet terrifying psycho. As a contrast, a gentle, wise Tommy-Lee Jones delivered most of the trademark Coen bros deadpan comedic lines in a script that was sharp and economical. Ace cinematography, plus one or two jump outta your seat moments. Definitely not for the weak hearted, a hypnotizing slow burner with a powerful denoument.
