Borat
I like - mart1n
Borat Sagdiyev (Sacha Baron Cohen) lives in Kazakhstan, which, he'll have you believe, is not a country reaping the benefits of 21st-century technology and thinking. Sent on a fact-finding mission to the "US and A", the fearless reporter soon obsesses over Pamela Anderson. Borat holds the dubious honour of being the only film ever threatened with legal action by the Kazakh Foreign Ministry. But if anyone wants to wage a legal war against filmmakers,it should be those from the "Mighty US warlord" Premier Bush's heartland - the deep -south towns Borat and his chubby producer Azamat (Ken Davitian) travel to in between New york and the Pammy-promised land of Los Angeles. After a little coaxing from Coen's shabbily suited, self-appointed ambassador, sundry rednecks readily offer up offensive outbursts and rants that make his version of kazakhstan look positively forward-thinking. Indeed, the USA seen through Borat's eyes is one where a pumped up rodeo crowd hollers as he declares, "I think we should bomb Iraq until not even a single lizard can live in the desert!" After seeing the film, the rodeo producer's wife told her local paper, "It's a wonder one of these cowboys didn't go out there and rope him up!". This film will offend as many as it delights- but there's an edge that ensures the laughs are never cheap.
