Heroin: taking is bad, selling is good - Ballbag
It's two and a half hours long but you won't be looking at your watch too often. Set in the Vietnam war era, the film follows Frank lucas (Denzel) as he sets up his organised drug dealing network. Queue the cop (Crowe) who sets up a new Narc unit because of said truckloads of heroin. It's full of everything you'd expect, naked chicks cutting drugs, cliche 1970's cop who's oversexed, underpaid and loyal to the job, cliche 1970's crooked cop who's the exactly the opposite, soldiers on smack, machine guns and shiny chrome pistols. If you like "Training Day" you'll like this. All in all a good package but not a classic.
