Into the Wild
Brilliant. - Alex Supertramp
After reading the reviews above, and after seeing the film, and also in the middle of reading the book, this film is a consice and fitting adapation of this inspiring character and his journey through the anals of society to his dream of the alaskian wilderness. This film is not for everyone, and although the character had his beliefs and reasons behind his actions, many people see him as a spoilt middle class young man who didnt listen to reason. Granted, his actions could be construde as "rash" and "irresponsible", but if you read the book there is more to his actions than come across in the film, such as a distrubtive home life, pressures of a forced education and a desire for adventure. This film is in one word brilliant, a true representation of the character, his actions and his demise.
A must see film.

Overlong, one dimensional, incredible portrayal of what was in real life an amazing story. The main character came across to me as just another indulgent teenager.Nice camerawork though.
