Simon Pegg's movies are like marmite - you either love them or you hate them ... I love them, the other half - she hates them hence the summary ... The film is a spoof of a collection of cop movies like Bad Boys and Point Break ... It centres round Sgt Angel (Pegg) who is shipped off to a sleepy village in rural England because his high arrest record is embarrising the rest of the force ... There he is reluctantly forced to partner up with his lazy partner played by Frost ... However after a string of dodgily explained events Angel soon realises things are not what they seem and goes after the truth The gags in this film are great and the partnership between Pegg & Frost is great again. However the film makes the huge mistake of being far too long ... The final action sequence is far too long! I loved this film but as I said I'm a fan of Pegg's films. My girlfriend hated it and I'm sure I'm gonna end up watching The Queen or something to make up for it?? ... Was it worth it? Probably
