Marvel Avengers Assemble

Rarely can I say that I have sat down and watched a film that ticks all the boxes, but the Avengers did that for me. A well written, well plotted, well acted and brilliantly executed film, with a great cast, fantastic action sequences and just the right amount of comedy, the Avengers is the best superhero film I have seen. Not that Im calling my self an expert or anything, but I have seen a good few action hero movies over the years, some good, some not.
The Avengers story line was not overly complicated which is something of a relief. Sometimes you find that they writers ad in loads of twists and turns just for the sake of it, and this can really take from the film and confused the audience unnecessarily. but the Avengers keeps it simple and this allows the audience more time to focus on the characters and their stories.
The casting was spot on. I was a bit sceptical when I saw that Mark Ruffalo was cast as the hulk. I would have preferred Ed Norton, but I cant have everything I want. Ruffalo does a good job.
Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye was an interesting character, as was the relationship he has with the Black Widow. Im definitely looking forward to seeing those two in the next film (assuming there is a next one).
Tony Stark has to be the most egotistical nut case millionaire ever, and also a comic genius. Robert Downey Jr rocks!

I have only one tiny little criticism and that is the lack of romance, but maybe that's my girly side taking over :)

10/10 Really looking forward to future Avengers films :)

and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Joss Whedon had directed this, but in retrospect this film has his signature all over it!
