The Descendants
Is a bit hit and miss - mart1n
This is a bit cuddly and cosy at times. Its like a chick flick for men in a way. That's not a bad thing though as i think it's very good. George Clooney is great here too, playing a character that flaying around and is not sure what direction he is going in and he's transformed himself here too, he's put on a few pounds and his hair is longer and he looks a bit bland. Which brings me to one problem of the film. Is that at times i did find it a bit bland. It's a little bit too neat and a little bit too pleased with itself. I think if your after emotional drama, then you're not going to really find it here unfortunately. The film is being sold as, it will make you laugh, it will make you cry. It will make you laugh at times definitely, but i think if your moved to tears here then i think you may have over emotional issues going on. There is just such a massive buzz going on about this film that you expect so much more. And in the Oscars they are all talking about it being the descendents v the artist but i it really that good for that? I'm not too sure. this to me is really just a Sunday film, to watch at home and that's about it. We have seen this type before many times. That's the only problem i have here. You won't be totally disappointed if you go see this, but also you won't be delighted either.
