Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

It's all about sequels and remakes these days. The fourth movie of the trilogy... If the last two movies didn't scream "please make this end", this one says far more than that. It's simply a cash-cow for the movie studio. Lazy, boring and tired. The script has very little flair and the story is insipid. None of the characters is fleshed out properly - there are hints at some character progression but they ultimately fail to go beyond the surface. There are characters that are even just a plot device with nothing more to do than progress the story for five minutes. And Johnny Depp has become an almost parody of himself. There's only so much swaying and campness one can take - a total miss-hit! And I can't help but think about how the $150m (est) could have been put to better use by, and I'm going out on a limb here, making an original movie?
