The Simpsons Movie

I've just come from watching this movie in the comfort of the "VIP" section of the Dundrum cinema. The comfortable, reclining seats were the only positive I could take from the experience. This movie is a Simpsons meets Disney/Pixar, bona-fida kids movie. It is so dumbed down there are few jokes of any genuine wit or orginality. By all means bring your kids to this, but if everyone in the party is over 18 there most certainly is a better alternative - even with the dearth of good movies this summer. Get ready for Simpsons 2, Simpsons 3, Transformers 2, Shrek 4, and all the other formulaic franchaises that with a successful bum-on-seat/million dollars of studio money spent ratio. Lets hope Bee-Movie bring some cheer to anotherwise dreary blockbuster summer.
