This film really does not have a lot to recommend it,it has not got the intellectual brilliance to make it a really good thriller, nor the fantastic action scenes to make it a great action picture.
It also has Liam Neeson as the hero and to be quite honest I think he is just looking too old and tired to play this part any more. The plot involves a convoluted tale of stolen identity and biotechnologies with a bit of Cold War espionage thrown in.It really is as ridiculous as it sounds.Throw into the mix some over-long,tedious car chases, some unrealistic hospital scenes,a half-baked love story and you will get the picture(without suffering by going to see it!!!)
It tries too hard to do too many things and ends up by being a hopeless mish-mash.
Frank Langhella is there as a double/triple crossing spy,Aidan Quinn as Neesons alter ego,January Jones as a cardboard figure(or so it appeared to me!!)Diane Kruger,as a Bosnian or was it Serbian....by the end I did not care.
Wanted to give this no stars...cannot get rid of the five!!!

Trying to be cleverer than it actually is, Unknown frustrates viewers more than tantalises them. At least Taken knew what it was. And that's why we loved it. - Hanley

Taken meets Memento, Bourne meets Hitchcock, Runaway Bride meets Under Siege. Unknown has been branded a cross-breed of many films (okay, except for maybe the last one). It's a shame that it can't... MORE

Mediocre - this should have been a blend of Taken and Frantic, unfortunately it fail's on both levels. Maybe Liam didn't fancy all the hard work stunts, so there is precious little Taken action, and... MORE
