This is a different kind of movie. I really didnt know what to expect, but I have to say I was impressed with this film. this film is essentially a one man show, Sam Rockwell, being the star. He is a quality actor and is not given enough credit in my opinion. Kevin Spacey is great as the voice of Sam's robotic companion, Gerty.
People keep asking me what this film is about, and even though I had read a synopsis and now I have watched it, I still kind of find it hard to describe. I think it is one of those movies that you have to see for your self.
I really liked the 70's feel to the production of this film, you feel like your watching something like the original Battlestar Galatica or Star Trek. With a film title like MOON I was worried that special effects would take over but the acting really does take centre stage and the story is an interesting concept to consider.
Not your typical movie, and I wouldnt classify it as being Sci Fi. Worth a night in with a take away though.
