Enjoyable thrillcom that holds your attention! - Slick
Forget hilarious and you'll really enjoy this film - it's a big-budget highly polished affair, with heaps of daft in the mix. Somewhere between a badly-scripted Mission Impossible and a badly-scripted There's Something about Mary - that may just be the answer; Badly Scripted. Comedy is subjective and the audience murmured laughter, at different times depending on the age group. Predictable to some degree it's at all times good fun - Cruise is a great actor and in great shape - he does a Daniel Craig Bond cameo coming out of the tropical sea with a fish supper! Diaz is excellent too, but her character can be very irritating at times. Plenty of action, thrills and humour then - some measure of suspense would have helped - if the script had explosive comedy depth this would have been the movie of the summer - still thumbs up.
