Simple & Sweet - movielover
Saw a trailer for this film a while ago and immediately thought, 'what a load of crap', but after watching it, I'll gladly eat my own words. When it first starts, we hear stories about fathers & boyfriends and i wondered how the film could possibly drag out for 80 minutes. But when the women got older and boyfriends turned into husbands, the stories got more interesting and sweeter. There are some teary moments when the women talk about how hard it is not to see their husbands every day, but some laugh out loud moments with tractors & lawnmowers. Even at the end you're wiping the corners of you eyes. A very moving, highly watchable film with gets my 2 thumbs up.
