Perrier's Bounty
A big let down - jcb
An Irish crime caper with Brendan Gleeson always makes me hopeful that we'll see another "In Bruges", or even another classic like the much overlooked "I Went Down", but this just didn't hit the mark. The dialogue was trying too hard to be "cool", but just felt awkward and unnatural. It's clear that the producers wanted to create an Irish "Lock Stock", with broad international appeal.
A good idea on paper, poorly executed. Better luck next time - hopefully there will be a next time, as it's a genre that we can do exceptionally well, when we put our minds to it.
