This film will draw a lot of comparisons with the wrestler and the role Played by Mickey Rourke and there are similarties,Bridges plays a singer Songwriter Bad Blake who is ravaged by alcoholism and failure to hit the big time. He now goes around playing Bowling alleys and other small gigs and to make matters worse his former support act played by Colin Farrell has hit the big time. He meets a journalist Jean Craddock played brilliantly by Maggie Gyllenhaal who is drawn to him as 2 kindred spirits and the 2 of them form an unlikely relationship which makes Bad think about his life and where it is going. There are some disturbing sconces but you will see why Bridges got nominated for an Oscar he is brilliant in this role and well supported by a great cast, this is a movie worth checking out.
