My Sister's Keeper
A tear jerker in the full spectrum of human emotion!! - Helen
Now as a person who did not read the book before I saw the movie I went in to this with no expectations what so ever except I did bring some tissues for obvious reasons! This movie is all about a young girl called Kate who gets cancer at aged five and in case you have been hiding in a cave for the past 6 months Kate's parents decide to have another child in order to help Kate fight the horrible disease that is cancer. Its starts like a documentary and I was very suprised as you get each family members point of view of Kate's illness and how it has affected their life for the past ten years. Then we get the court case that suprisingly does not take up that much of the films running time. Alec Baldwin is spectacular as the supposedly arragant Lawyer that defends Kate's sister as she tries to get medical emancupation for Kates's sister who is played by the sweet Abigail Breslin from Little Miss Sunshine fame. The very talented Sofia Vassilieva who plays Kate is one to watch as she does a fine job of depicting a young girl who's life has been spent fighting a horrible disease. This is a great film to go to if you just want to have a good cry and also if you want some insight in to the life of a family with a child that has cancer.
