Monsters Vs Aliens is my first 3D movie, with free specs to boot! And i must say as an experience it rocked! The story is about Susan Murphy, who is about to marry Cheezy Weatherman Derek. On her wedding day susan gets hit by a alien meteor, which changes her into a 50ft woman. This obviously halts the wedding and Susan is captured by the authorities and taken to a 'secret facility'.There she meets other monsters, Bob, a gelatinous blob, Link- literally the missing link defrosted from an Artic ice cube, and Dr Cockroach, a mad scientist deformed into a cockroach by his own experiment. All 3 are set to work when an alien robot sent to retrieve the mineral that was in the meteor, attacks earth. There are many funny, laugh out loud moments,and famous lines from many classic Sci fi movies are thrown in for chuckle value. The animation is excellent, especially in 3D. The characters are not as loveable as Boo, sully and Mike in Monsters Inc, but it's still a very entertaining movie and well worth seeing for the 3D experience.
