Good Action Flick - jennith
I was not expecting too much from this film but I was pleasantly surprised this is a great action film which keeps you entertained until the end. The story is Liam Neeson is Bryan an ex CIA agent who has now retired who is divorced from his wife but is trying to make a relationship with his daughter Kim. Kim travels with her friend to Paris aganaist her fathers better judgement and is only in Paris when her and her friend are kidnapped but nor before she speaks to her father who tells the kidnappers he will find them. This is where the action begins as he heads off to Paris to find his daughter he looks up a few old contacts and starts to track them down. What I like about this film is the sheer Ruthlessness of Byran he cares for nothing or no-body and will stop at nothing to find his daughter, the scene with the French policeman family shows this up well. A great action thriller with plenty of fight scenes an ending you can predict but enjoyable all the same. This film does not preach about the evils of human trafficking and Byran does not try and save everybody just his daughter we hear nothing of the other girls or even much sorrow for her friend just a fathers desire to save his daughter. The end was a bit strange when they come home you thinks they had just been away for a weekend the family just leave him at the airport.
