A story that could have been set any time of the year is clearly set at Christmas for one reason. To grab movie goers who want a festive film. The plot is weak. If there even is a plot. (Yes, the film is literally just a couple visiting family...that's it). I will admit the middle of the film is funny(ish), there's nothing you havn't seen before, though. However, the odd opening to the film is a let down, and the film seems to just drag on with Witherspoons solumn face as she visits her father. It just tails off in the end and no longer becomes a comedy. Four Christmases is what it is. A movie who's title is the actors who star in it. It will make you smile...but not laugh. It's nothing special...that's just my opinion.

if this film didnt have the A listers of reese and vince, i think it would have tanked. it was funny in places. wouldnt be rushing to see it again though or buy the dvd. MORE

Prob deserves around 3 stars. Not the best Vince Vaughan movie by a mile but still has plenty of laughs. And it is a Christmas movie so if you have no binge drinking plans then you could do worse.... MORE
