Justin Timberlake is no stranger to the odd film role or two - in the past, he's been cast in films like The Social Network, Southland Tales, Inside Llewyn Davis and more recently, as a voice actor in Trolls.

Having worked with The Coen Brothers, the pop star is set to tick another iconic director off his list as he's just been cast in Woody Allen's new film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

As is the norm with Allen's films, the title of his newest project is still under wraps and little is known about it - but we do know that it will also feature Jim Belushi, Kate Winslet and Juno Temple and will shoot in New York this autumn.

So basically, it looks like Timberlake's pop comeback will take a temporary pitstop. At least we have Can't Stop the Feeling to keep us going for the summer.
