This one looks dead set on making us all cry and we're not sure how we feel about that.

Starring Will Smith as a grieving father who writes letters to the universe, it also stars Edward Norton, Naomie Harris, Michael Pena and Kate Winslet as his friends and Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley and Jacob Latimore as Death, Love and Time, respectively. Yeah, you read that right.

Oscar-winning director David Frankel ('Marley & Me', so you know he's a sadist) is at the helm with a screenplay by Allan Loeb ('21'), so our expectations are mixed. We would have said that with a cast like this attached it couldn't be bad, but then just look at 'Suicide Squad' and any of Garry Marshall's last few movies.

Here's the official synopsis:

When a successful New York ad executive suffers a personal tragedy and retreats from life, his friends devise a drastic plan to reach him before he loses everything. Pushing him to the very edge, they force him to confront the truth in surprising and profoundly human ways.

'Collateral Beauty' is set for release on December 16.
