It's been eleven years since we last watched the trials and tribulations of Bridget Jones's life unfold on screen, but this year we have the much anticipated third movie in the series, Bridget Jones's Baby.

Those who have read the book will be happy to know that it's not exactly based on that and a certain somebody has not left this mortal coil in the movie. Instead, as the trailer shows, Bridget and her Mark Darcy have split up for some unknown reason and our favourite single lady, is well, single again.

However she sparks up a romance with McDreamy himself, Patrick Dempsey (Jack), but Bridget soon finds herself in quite the predicament when she realises she is pregnant and doesn't quite know who the father is - Mark or Jack.

A lot of the regulars from the original are back too, include Bridget's parents and her quirky mates, while Emma Thompson also joins the cast as Bridget's doctor. There's no Hugh Grant mind, but sure who needs him when there's McDreamy.

Not long to wait now either, with Bridget Jones’s Baby hitting Irish cinemas on September 16th.
