Watch: Viral clip for Logan explains why it has an R rating (NSFW)

It hasn't yet been rated by IFCO, but it wouldn't be at all surprising if Logan gets slapped with a 16 rating - especially after seeing this clip.

It's worth pointing out that if you're any squeamish about blood or self-harm, it's best not to look at it. There's been a lot of talk about just how far James Mangold and Hugh Jackman are planning on pushing Logan and this clip - which may or may not make it into the final movie - definitely explains why. Fox chairwoman Stacey Snider admitted in a recent Q&A session that "there was real consternation about the intensity of the tone of the film," and it's easy to see why.

You really haven't seen a superhero movie get this extreme in the past and it's quite likely you won't ever again. Logan hits Irish cinemas on March 3rd.
