We think it's fair to say there's bound to be at least one or two people out there excited about Harry Potter spinoff Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

With the film not set to grace our screens until November, we've thus far been limited to this short trailer that was released before Christmas to get an idea of what we can expect. However the good people over at Pottermore decided to give fans a treat by releasing this short behind the scenes video to introduce the main characters and the 1926 set world they live in.

David Yates, who directed the final four installments of the Harry Potter series is returning to call the shots behind the camera for this one but the most exciting prospect of the spinoff is the fact that J.K. Rowling is writing the screenplay.

Traditionally, Hollywood has been against authors adapting their own work but considering the success Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl) and our own Emma Donoghue (Room) have had maybe it's not such a bad idea to let Rowling have a go. It will be interesting to see the effect her creative impact has on the finished film.

With a cast boasting Eddie Redymayne, Colin Farrell, Katherine Waterson, John Voight and Dan Fogler, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them arrives on November 16th.
