You have to hand it to Matt Damon; he's consistently remained at the top of his game for nearly 20 years - and is headlining another huge budgeted flick, this time with the legendary Ridley Scott in the director's chair.

The Martian is based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir, and features Damon alone on the Red Planet after a mission goes wrong. He has to figure out a way to survive for 4 years before he can be reached.

The flick co-stars the always awesome Jessica Chastain, Jeff Daniels, Kate Mara, Kristen Wiig and Sebastian Stan. Drew Goddard (who is behind Netflix's Daredevil and Lost) penned the screenplay.

Expect this one to land in October.
