After years of humming and hawing we finally got confirmation early this year that the sequel to Danny Boyle's Trainspotting would be filming this summer and lo and behold today is Judgement Day for the cast and crew.
The cameras have started rolling and they've released a teaser trailer to mark the occasion. The teaser doesn't show any new footage, just and edit of clips from the original to the tune of Iggy Pop's 'Lust for Life'.
It does however give us a title - T2. Which is surprising given that title had already been used by James Cameron for the sequel of his most iconic franchise. We've also been given a release date (January 27th 2017), along with confirmation that all of the original cast will return.
