Is there any stage of person's life more ripe for comedy than mid to late adolescence?

No there really isn't. Teen angst is painful but also painfully funny especially when you throw a sarcastic Woody Harrelson into the mix.

Hailee Steinfeld stars in the lead role of Nadine, a socially awkward teen who has to deal with the fact that her best friend is dating her cool older brother (Blake Jenner) and may just be leaving her behind as a result. Her mother (Kyra Sedgwick) doesn't seem to sympathise with her plight so it's left to her high school teacher (Woody Harrelson) to help guide her through the trials and tribulations of sending accidental rude texts to your crush and curbing your tendency to use run on sentences.

Very much in the vein of Juno and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, The Edge of Seventeen could be the next great teen indie drama.
