Although there's no word on an Irish release date, the promotional campaign for the long-awaited Tupac Shakur biopic is heating up.
The film is slated for a US release of June 16th - which would have been Tupac's 46th birthday - and the early word is that newcomer Demetrius Shipp, Jr. nailed his performance as the iconic rapper. It probably didn't hurt that he looks eerily similar to him as well.
In fact, All Eyez On Me is the actor's first ever role and spent months preparing for it by hanging out with Death Row Records alumni and those who knew Tupac during the '90s. The film follows Shakur's early years, his turbulent relationship with his mother Afeni Shakur, and his eventual death in Las Vegas.
