Don’t even try to defend it. Just don’t.
We’ve been forced to endure some pretty terrible movies this year but somehow none of them made us feel as cynical as the outright lazy, ugly and blatantly commercial animated feature The Emoji Movie.
As the Screen Junkies guys over at Honest Trailers say, “[it] may not be the worst movie ever made, but it is the worst example of Hollywood farting out 80 minutes of cynical branded advertising and pretending it’s a movie.”
To top it all off, Sir Patrick Stewart plays poop. I mean, really?
