Maybe it's just us, but My Big Fat Greek Wedding did absolutely nothing for us.

If you want to talk about wedding movies, you can talk about Muriel's Wedding and that's it. Nothing else comes into the discussion. But, y'know, MBFGW - that's the not-at-all confusing acronym its fans use - did quite well and became an independent hit, launching a TV series that lasted for five and a half minutes.

Nia Vardalos, in the interim, turned up in a few TV shows here and there - Law and Order, Drop Dead Diva, Cougar Town - but never really replicated the same success that she had with My Big Fat Greek Wedding. So, thirteen years later, here we are again. With a sequel.

As you do.

This time around, Vardalos is happily married to John Corbett - again, where'd he go? - and now has a goth daughter who's ashamed of her Greek heritage. However, the general gist seems to be that her mother and father weren't actually married due to a mix-up with the registrar in Greece and now, surprise surprise, they have to get married.

Oy. Here's the trailer.

Yeah. Exactly.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 hits Irish cinemas on March 25th, 2016.
