Fox has released the trailer for the Michael Gracey directed movie due for release early next year.
It tells the story of eccentric boss PT Barnum, played by Jackman, who ran the Ringling Bros. circus in the mid 1800’s. Efron plays the role of Barnum’s business partner who falls in love with a trapeze artist played by Zendaya.
It’s Jackman’s first musical since Les Misérables in 2012, and Efron’s first since the High School Musical trilogy. La La Land’s Benji Pasek and Justin Paul will provide the songs.
Completing the cast will be Michelle Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Paul Sparks, Diahann Carroll and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
The Greatest Showman is due for release in Ireland in January 2018.
