Ashley Judd was one of the first people to come forward with allegations against Harvey Weinstein, and is by far one of the most recognisable actresses to level accusations against him.
The actress gave her first interview since the allegations broke to Good Morning America's Diane Sawyer, and spoke candidly about the fallout of what's happened. Judd described the "absolutely, tremendously moving two and a half weeks" since the stories began to filter out, and described the event that happened on the day with Weinstein.
"It’s a very important word — shame — and it’s a very important thing to talk about. We all do the best we can, and our best is good enough. And it’s really okay to have responded however we responded," said Judd. When asked about whether she remained friendly with Weinstein after the incident, Judd was adamant that wasn't the case - even when Diane Sawyer showed her a photo of Weinstein and her laughing at a Vanity Fair Oscar party. The photo, incidentally, was provided by Harvey Weinstein's representatives and backs up his claim that they were friends.
