It's already a massive success on the West End and now Warner Bros. are reportedly working on a way to translate Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to the big screen.

According to the New York Daily News, the movie studio want to get a film adaptation of the story on the big screen as soon as 2020 and furthermore they want Daniel Radcliffe to reprise his role as Harry Potter.

The report goes on to say that the studio are also exploring the possibility of expanding the story to a trilogy, with Potter's son becoming the focus of the story.

Radcliffe has said in the past that he would be open to returning to Potter but that: "It would depend on the script,"

However he did concede that: "The circumstances would have to be pretty extraordinary."

The Cursed Child is set 19 years after the events of The Deathly Hallows but should Warner Bros.' 2020 target come to fruition then only 9 years will have passed between the two movies which could perhaps be too soon for Radcliffe to consider a return.
