I'm going to come right out and say it; lately, there hasn't been too many movies to really strike a chord with audiences, there's been shag all in fact.

The summer has been awash with blockbusters that are all fine, enjoyable, but I certainly can't rememeber leaving the theatre saying 'wow' over the last number of months. Can you?

If this single-take trailer is a good barometer for the full movie, then the Sandra Bullock and George Clooney starrer 'Gravity' looks set to change all of that. The twosome star as expert astronauts (well, I guess if you're an astronaut that makes it to space you'd want to be at expert level, right?) trying to make their way back to Earth after their shuttle has been struck by debris.

Get set to be perched on the edge of your seat for a good chunk of this thriller; I for one reckon I'll need oxygen to see me through it. Those of you with an irrational fear of spiralling into space, never to be found again, might want to avoid this one.

Alfonso Cuarón is at the helm here. Gravity hits Irish cinemas on October 18th.
