Top Gun 3D is coming, but not to Ireland. BOO!

Still feeling the need for speed? Ready to head back into the danger zone? Goose and Maverick are. And in IMAX 3D no less.

Yup, that's right, Top Gun is heading to American cinemas in 3D and the official trailer for the revamped 80s classic dropped today. Now I'm a big fan of the film so I lost that loving feeling when I heard that it's only hitting cinemas in the US for six days and there's no sign of it coming to our shores.

In fairness though, I'd be seriously disappointed if I didn't see some planes flying out of the screen. After all, Tom Cruise can make these things happen if he really wants to, right?

On a side note, still can't take Val Kilmer seriously with those bleach blonde locks. Top Gun 3D hits US cinemas in February.
