Plot details are still thin on the ground but it looks like we're going to find out how Han and Chewie became the two best friends that the galaxy has ever seen.

Disney have revealed the synopsis for the troubled production that Ron Howard boarded after Phil Lord and Chris Miller's unceremonious departure last year and while it doesn't really tell us anything we didn't know already, it's nice to know that the story will (hopefully) focus on character development and not the endless chasing of some MacGuffin through space.

Who are we kidding, it'll probably be that as well.

The official synopsis reads:

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo meets his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and encounters the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

So that's Alden Ehrenreich, Joonas Suotamo and Donald Glover taken care of, but still no mention of Emilia Clarke, Paul Bettany or Phoebe Waller-Bridge and what they'll be up to, and all we know about Woody Harrelson is that he's playing Han Solo's mentor.

There's also still no sign of a trailer, and with the May 25th release only getting closer, we're starting to get just a little bit concerned.

Could this be the first stinker in the new Star Wars series? Hopefully not.
